Meningitis - What should I be looking out for? | Health Hub

Meningitis can be either bacterial or viral, both of which cause inflammation of the lining of the brain.

 

WHAT SHOULD I BE LOOKING OUT FOR?

  1. Non-Blanching Rash – see the tumbler test below.
  2. Fever (higher than 37C)
  3. Irritability
  4. Vomiting
  5. A severe headache
  6. Joint and Limb pain
  7. Stiff neck
  8. Sensitivity to bright lights
  9. Sleepiness
