Meningitis can be either bacterial or viral, both of which cause inflammation of the lining of the brain.
WHAT SHOULD I BE LOOKING OUT FOR?
- Non-Blanching Rash – see the tumbler test below.
- Fever (higher than 37C)
- Irritability
- Vomiting
- A severe headache
- Joint and Limb pain
- Stiff neck
- Sensitivity to bright lights
- Sleepiness
